Founded by ex-Investec SME finance specialist Lyndon Miles, and industrial analyst Hannah Simcoe-Read, Lyndon Capital formalised a team that has been working together for a long time, with over 100 years combined experience working with SMEs across the world. We have shared experience in many sectors, including high-tech, manufacturing, renewable energy and agribusiness.


Lyndon Miles

Managing Director

lyndon_miles.jpgFounder of Lyndon Captital, he invests in microfinance and SMEs in various jurisdictions. Starting his professional career as a lawyer, he moved into

banking with Investec, and has enjoyed a successful career over twenty years, specialising in property and SME financing. He left Investec in 2009 to further his interest in SME finance emerging economies.






Hannah Simcoe-Read

Operations Director

For twenty years she has been involved in venture fund management, business start-ups and promotion of entrepreneurial the worlds of academia and government. She has managed regional development projects in Eastern Europe, India and Africa.






Richard Vardy

Non-executive Director

Richard comes to Lyndon Capital as the former company secretary of Investec plc, and his current activities including consultancy positions in universities, charitable organisations and advisor on corporate responsibility. He is also the Deputy Chairman of the London Money Markets Association.


Caroline Maudling

Non-executive Director

For many years, Caroline was responsible for organisational development at Investec plc, with a great deal of experience working in the field with non-governmental organisations. Her particular interests involved human resource development and institutional restructuring. She brings a wealth of experience to the board.


Frank Leonhardt

Non-executive Director

Frank was responsible for many early microcomputer products in the 1980's before moving into writing and consultancy. He specialises in security and reliability issues in technology-based systems, as well as low-impact environmentally sensitive development.
