Hints

A hint in software engineering is a 'clue' provided by an algorithm to help it find the best solution. For example, font files often contain hint data as well as the shape of the character. The hint might be that when you're rendering a particular 'o' character to a small size you make the lines thinner than would be specified in a linear scaling so that the hole in the middle is more pronounced.

If hints were used as an input to AI algorithms (does AI have algorithms) it seems reasonable that hints could influence such algorithms to manufacture evidence.

Would an AI person care to confirm/deny that AI has a concept of algorithms and hints?
